Living with HIV/AIDS compromises the entire physical as well as the emotional, psychosocial and spiritual self. Persons living with HIV/AIDS battle prejudices and abandonment by society, close family and friends. An art therapy group is an ideal place for these individuals to receive support, feel a sense of belonging, and work with imagery to address issues such as self-blame, guilt, disclosure, social stigma and anger.
